How do I cancel a recurring payment?

You can cancel a recurring payment in your payment provider's dashboard by locating the subscription and clicking cancel. If a customer asks you to stop their charges, do it on your end first so the next billing cycle doesn't run. Customers can also cancel directly with their issuing bank, but that should be a backstop, handling cancellations in your system keeps your records clean and avoids unnecessary chargebacks.
